ME - I have been creating art off and on since 1985. I went to art school at a later time in my life...33 years old and six children! I emphasized my studies in graphic design because you know...bills and raising a family! However, having to take those basic core classes, painting, drawing, sculpture, art history for about two weeks was all it took to know that I wanted to be an artist! But life had other ideas.
These works explore the person of Christ not as a distant icon, but as a living presence moving through suffering, compassion, and divine purpose. Each painting reflects a different moment of encounter—healing, sacrifice, and surrender—inviting the viewer to step into the emotional and spiritual weight of of those experiences. In creating these paintings of Christ, my intention has been to explore the profound depth of His character and the transformative power of His presence. Each piece serves as a reflection of different facets of His life and teachings, inviting viewers to engage with the spiritual narrative that transcends time and culture.
The subject matter I choose changes on mostly my mood, or inspiration. Religious and spiritual themes have become a favorite. Military and historical subjects have also caught my attention.
